Merhabalar,

There are three Network locations, see below. You can change a network from the Private to the Public location type, or vice versa.
Network Location | Description |
---|---|
Private (Home or Work) |
This is the location setting for when your computer is connected to trusted computers in a home network or office (work) network. Network discovery and File sharing will be on by default to make it easier for you to discover and do file sharing with other computers and devices on a network, and allows other network users to see your computer. Windows Firewall will be turned on and set to allow all communication through. If you change these default settings, they will be applied to every network with the Private location type. |
Public |
Choose this location setting for when your computer is connected to a network that has a direct connection to the Internet, such as public network in airport, coffee shop, library and other public areas. Network discovery, File sharing and other network sharing features will be Off by default to keep your computer from being visible to other computers around you and to help protect from any malicious software from the Internet. Windows Firewall will be turned on and set to block all access from other computers unless you allow an exception. See: How to Add or Delete an Exception in Windows Firewall in Vista . If you change these default settings, they will be applied to every network with the Public location type. |
Domain | This is when your computer is part of domain network that contains Active Directory domain controller. This is usually a work or corporate network. You will not be able to change the network location type because it is controlled by your network administrator. This will not be an option here |
2. Network and sharingden ağ komşularını görmek için birşeyleri clicklemeniz gerekiyordu.(Vista yok şu an yanımda) Aşağıdakileri bir bakınız.
1. A computer or device does not appear on the network map.
2. You receive this message when select network map, "Windows cannot
create a network map for the selected type of network connection."
Cause and solution:
1. The Vista is assigned to the "Public place" network location and
other Windows cannot detect a computer on a network assigned to the
"Public place" location. To fix this problem, you can change the
network location to "Private" or connecting to a network that is
assigned to the "Private" network location.
2. Vista uses the LLTD protocol to map computers and devices on a
network. The Link Layer Topology Discovery (LLTD) protocol is disabled
on the network adapter.
3. If the computer is running Windows Vista. It could be network discovery is turned off.
4. The computer is running Windows XP and the LLTD protocol is not installed.
5. Your computer is connected to a wireless network and the wireless signal quality is poor or intermittent.
6. A device on the network, such as a hub or switch, is not working
properly or is not compatible with the Link Layer Topology Discovery
(LLTD) protocol, which Windows uses to create the map. To fix this
problem, disable the device, turn it off, or remove it from your
network.
7. Make sure the netBIOS over TCP/IP is enabled.

1st thing to do is make sure that the Workgroup Name of ALL the computers is
the SAME.
In Vista Network and Sharing:
Network Discovery: ON (So it can see the other computers)
Network set to Private (Public is for hotspots, airports, etc)
File Sharing: ON
Public Folder Sharing: ON (Vista’s Public Folder is the same as XP’s Shared
Docs)
Password Protected: OFF (unless you want to set up identical usernames and
passwords on ALL computers in your Network) If you have it ON, you will be
asked for a username and password when you try to access a Vista computer
from an XP computer.
